Anni fa le reti di imprese traevano il massimo vantaggio soprattutto dal loro essere unite, scambiandosi rapporti e sinergie, oltre a favorire un continuo aggiustamento e trasferimento reciproco di know how ‑ cosa che ha sempre rappresentato una sorta di cervello collettivo in grado di ottenere un miglioramento costante dei prodotti e dei processi ‑ oggi hanno capito che questa realtà resta valida, ma è diventata una base sulla quale occorre innestare nuove modalità di approccio ai mercati. Per recuperare o salvaguardare i principali sbocchi, i distretti sanno che l'intraprendenza e la creatività non sono pi ù sufficienti e che bisogna ragionare in termini più ampi . Ed è dunque in quest' ottica che devono essere adeguate le politiche per lo sviluppo . Ora tocca soprattutto alle istituzioni, individuare gli strumenti migliori per aiutarli ad affrontare la domanda internazionale,a crescere e a migliorare il loro tasso di innovazione |

Nowadays, enterprise networks have understood that this still applies but it forms the basis onto which new market approaching procedures have to be grafted.
In order to recoup or safeguard major outlets, districts know by now that enterprise and creativity are no longer enough and that it is necessary to reason in terms of the Country System, expression that has never materialised.
Therefore, development policies must be adapted in this light. If districts have started learning from their bad experiences, institutions, and the authorities that supervise the economy must now be instrumental in helping them meet the international demand, grow and improve their innovation rate.
